Founded in 2002, Gail Runton Training is a team of highly qualified healthcare professionals, dedicated to delivering high quality training to the health sector.

Firstly we listen to what you need and then offer tailor made services to assist care givers including accredited courses and advice services.

Gail Runton Training can develop and deliver all courses around your organisation needs - considering shift work and service user requirements.

There is no need to take people away from the workplace to benefit from our training programmes. All services can be delivered in-house or at venues throughout the UK.

After qualifying as a Registered Nurse in the UK in 1985, Gail worked in the NHS for five years both in hospitals and as a Community Nurse. In 1990 she moved to the private sector where she became the deputy matron of a 43 bedded Nursing Home caring for adults over 65. Following completion of a further education teaching certificate Gail became responsible for staff training. She developed an interest in health and safety, risk management and moving and handling issues and subsequently went on to undertake further study in these areas, completing a manual handling trainer certificate, a certificate in occupational safety and health (NEBOSH) and a post graduate certificate in back care management at Loughborough University.

Gail has worked as a freelance trainer in the care sector since 2002 and has successfully introduced safer handling policies into both community and residential settings, working in partnership with care givers and service users to ensure the most suitable outcomes.

In association with leading companies Gail has worked with equipment manufacturers advising on hoist and sling design.
