CIEH Principles of Manual Handling

Who is the course for?

A 3 hour course suitable for employees who carry out the manual handling of inanimate loads. Does not contain detailed training on handling techniques and is therefore not suitable for people handlers.

Aims of the course

To introduce candidates to the risks of manual handling and the controls available, enabling employees to develop safer manual handling techniques in the workplace.

The process of manual handling
Common injuries and the activities which cause them
Manual handling assessment and control options
Responsibilities imposed by the manual handling operations regulations.
